Ghanaian midfielder Bismark Edjeodji has completed a move to Danish Superliga side Vejle Boldklub, signing a five-year contract that runs until the summer of 2030, the club officially announced on their website.
The 18-year-old joins from Ghana Premier League outfit Bechem United and will wear the number 32 shirt at his new club.
“It’s a big moment for me to be able to call myself a Vejle Boldklub player,” Edjeodji said. “I’ve been following the team’s progress from Ghana throughout the spring, and it feels like a dream to now play at Vejle Stadion and experience the atmosphere in person.”
Despite the distance between Ghana and Denmark, the young midfielder believes he’s ready for the challenge of European football.
“It’s a big step, but I believe in myself,” he added. “I know that Vejle will give me a great opportunity to show my talent and continue developing.”
According to Vejle’s sporting director Mikkel Hemmersam, the club has been tracking Edjeodji for some time and sees him as a perfect fit for their long-term sporting vision.
“Bismark is an exciting player we’ve followed for a while and in whom we have great belief,” Hemmersam said. “He fits our profile—young, talented, with flair and an offensive mindset. He mainly operates as a number 8 or on the left wing and brings real energy to the pitch.”
Hemmersam also emphasized the importance of patience and support as Edjeodji transitions to life in a new country and league.
“We know he’s moving his whole life across continents, and that’s not easy,” he noted. “But we have experience helping young foreign players settle in, and we believe Vejle is the right place for Bismark to unlock his potential.”
Vejle’s recruitment strategy continues to combine domestic academy talent with international youth prospects, and Edjeodji is expected to be gradually integrated into the first team as the club prepares for the new season.
