This year’s tournament features some of Africa’s finest talents who are focused on leading their country to glory and whose consistent performances at both club and international levels have seen their market values increase over time.

Achraf Hakimi (Morocco, €80 million)
Unsurprisingly, 2025 CAF Men’s player of the year winner Achraf Hakimi ranks as the most valuable African footballer in the world and also at the AFCON tournament with a market value of about €80 million.
The right-back made his first appearance of the tournament in Morocco’s 3-0 win over Zambia in their final group A match after recovering from an ankle injury, but enjoyed a remarkable year for French club Paris Saint Germain.

The forward joined Manchester United in the summer after an impressive spell at Brentford in the English Premier League and has eased to life at the Red Devils, becoming a core part of their squad so far.

Nigerian forward Victor Osimhen ranks joint-second on this list with a market value of about €75 million. The 27-year-old has consistently proven his importance to both club and country and helped Galatasaray to a remarkable double triumph last season, before joining the Turkish club on a permanent deal in the summer.
Osimhen has scored once and provided one assist in two matches so far for the Super Eagles at the AFCON in Morocco and will be very crucial to their chances of winning a long-awaited fourth title.

Omar Marmoush (Egypt, €65 million)
Egypt forward Omar Marmoush has a market value of about €65 million and ranks as the fourth most valuable player at the 2025 African Cup of Nations tournament.
