AIK are exploring a move for Nigerian forward Angelo Agbejoye as the Swedish Allsvenskan side prepare for the expected departure of highly rated winger Zadok Yohanna, Footy-Africa can exclusively report.
Yohanna is attracting significant interest ahead of the summer transfer window, with Premier League club Brighton & Hove Albion and Bundesliga champions Bayer Leverkusen among the teams monitoring his situation.
As a result, AIK have begun assessing potential replacements and have identified Grassrunner Academy prospect Angelo Agbejoye as a leading target.
Sources close to the negotiations have indicated that the Swedish club’s interest is genuine, although no agreement has yet been reached between the parties.
“He is a wonderful played no doubt and there have been a lot of interest in him. Yes there is contact but talks are ongoing and nothing has been decided. Everything is open.”

“He was at Manchester City for trial but it shortlived because of sickness and he had to return home. City really liked him, but we can’t wait forever for them. The player has to progress with his career. There is also an interest from Hannover 98 and several clubs,” he exclusively told Footy-Africa.
Agbejoye has emerged as one of the most sought-after young talents in Nigerian football, with reported interest from Portuguese giants Benfica and Danish champions Copenhagen, in addition to Germany’s Hannover.
Any move for the forward is likely to depend on AIK completing the anticipated sale of Yohanna, which would create both the financial room and squad space required for a new attacking addition.
For now, discussions remain ongoing, with Agbejoye’s future still open as interest continues to grow across Europe.
