Nigerian winger Daniel Wisdom has joined Belgian Pro League side KAA Gent from Serbian club FK Spartak Subotica on a season-long loan with an option to buy, Footy-Africa can exclusively report.
The talented forward completed the move after an impressive spell at Spartak Subotica, where he spent less than eight months.
Wisdom initially featured for the club’s reserve team before earning promotion to the senior squad towards the end of last season, following a series of outstanding performances.
He went on to score 10 goals in 15 matches for Spartak Subotica, attracting interest from several European clubs.
Footy-Africa understands that Spanish side Real Valladolid previously made an offer for the youngster, and a transfer was close to being completed before the deal collapsed at the final stage.
Young KAA Gent have now secured the services of the highly-rated Nigerian on loan, with an option to make the move permanent at the end of the season, Footy-Africa understands.
Born in May 2007, Wisdom is a pacey and technically gifted winger who thrives in one-on-one situations. Renowned for his excellent dribbling ability, blistering speed, and eye for goal, he possesses significant attacking qualities and is expected to play an important role for Young KAA Gent during the upcoming campaign.
