Gambian international Ablie Jallow has officially parted ways with French side FC Metz after a five-year spell filled with unforgettable moments. The club confirmed his departure on Monday via a statement published on their official website.

Jallow, 25, joined Metz in July 2017 from Senegal’s Génération Foot Academy, beginning a journey that saw him rise through the ranks and leave a lasting mark in Moselle. Known for his quiet demeanor off the pitch and technical elegance on it, the left-footed attacking midfielder made his Ligue 1 debut with the club before helping them secure promotion from Ligue 2 in 2019.

After a developmental loan spell at Belgian partner club RFC Seraing, where he impressed over two seasons, Jallow returned to Metz ahead of the 2021–22 campaign. He quickly established himself as a key player, making 34 appearances and contributing six goals and six assists in the club’s successful push for promotion back to the top flight.

During the 2024–25 season, the Bundung-born playmaker continued to shine, scoring five goals and providing one assist in 29 appearances. One of his standout moments came in August 2024, when he curled in a stunning late free kick against SC Bastia to rescue a point for the team. He also produced memorable performances against Bordeaux, Stade de Reims, and FC Annecy, showcasing his trademark flair and vision.

In total, Jallow’s time at Metz was defined by his technical skill, crucial goals, and strong connection with the club’s supporters. His exit marks the end of a significant chapter for both player and club.
