Premier League side Brighton & Hove Albion have completed the signing of Nigerian youngster Zadok Yohanna from AIK.

The 18-year-old began his career at the Ikon Allah Academy in Nigeria and only moved abroad last year to join the Swedish club. However, an impressive start to life at the club, scoring five times and providing four assists across all competitions in 2026 put him on the radar of several of Europe’s elite clubs.

Brighton have now agreed a deal worth up to €30 million for the Nigerian youngster, becoming their first addition ahead of the upcoming season.

The Seagulls were expected to be very busy this summer after securing European qualification last season, as they needed to strengthen significantly to mount a strong challenge next season. Meanwhile, the uncertainty surrounding the future of Gambian forward Yankuba Minteh, who has been linked with an exit this summer with Liverpool lurking around.

His potential exit could free up space for Yohanna to come in at his preferred left wing and play a big role for the club in the coming campaign.
