Swedish club Djurgården have secured the signing of highly rated Nigerian winger Angelo Agbejoye, completing a long-term deal for one of the country’s emerging attacking talents.
The 18-year-old arrives from Grassrunners FC after attracting attention from several clubs, with Djurgården ultimately convincing the youngster that his development would be best served in Stockholm.
Agbejoye, who predominantly operates on the right wing despite being naturally left-footed, is regarded as an exciting prospect thanks to his explosive pace, technical ability and attacking instincts. The teenager has already earned recognition among scouts for his direct style of play and ability to influence matches in the final third.
The move follows an extensive scouting process by Djurgården, who had tracked the Nigerian for months before finalising an agreement. Club representatives travelled to Nigeria to assess both his performances and his potential away from the pitch, underlining their belief in his long-term future.
For Djurgården, the signing reflects a growing strategy of identifying young talent before they break onto the wider European stage. The club has built a reputation for developing promising players and providing them with a pathway to first-team football and larger European leagues.

Agbejoye now faces the challenge of adapting to a new country and a higher level of competition, but expectations around the winger are already high. His blend of speed, creativity and finishing ability has led many to view him as one of the Nigerian prospects capable of making an impact in Europe over the coming years.
The teenager has signed a five-year contract and will immediately begin working with his new teammates as he looks to establish himself in the Allsvenskan.
While the transition from Nigerian football to Europe is rarely straightforward, Djurgården believe they have acquired a player with the talent and mentality to thrive. If his development continues at its current rate, Agbejoye could prove to be one of the most intriguing young arrivals in Swedish football this season.
