With several players now attracting concrete interest from Europe, Footy-Africa takes a look at five Nigerian academy prospects who could make the move abroad in the near future.
Habila Simeon β Golden Boots Soccer Academy
Habila Simeon tops the list, and unlike several of the other players, his next move may already be decided.
Footy-Africa understands that Slovakian club AS TrenΔΓn have agreed a deal with Golden Boots Soccer Academy for the highly rated midfielder.
The agreement would represent another significant step in the rapid rise of a player who has already emerged as one of the most intriguing young talents in Nigerian football.
Simeon’s profile has been boosted considerably by his performances for the Flying Eagles.
The attacking midfielder was entrusted with the captaincy of Nigeria’s U20 side at the 2026 WAFU B U20 Championship despite being only 17, a significant show of confidence in both his footballing ability and leadership qualities.
He also made his mark on the pitch, scoring Nigeria’s equaliser against CΓ΄te d’Ivoire in the semi-final as the Flying Eagles progressed to the final.

Abdulmuiz Adeleke β Sporting Supreme FC
Few Nigerian academy players currently have a stronger transfer profile than Abdulmuiz Adeleke. The Sporting Supreme forward has already established himself at international level and has continued to attract attention from major European clubs.
Footy-Africa can confirm that Chelsea and Strasbourg remain among the clubs monitoring Adeleke, with both clubs having already seen the player at close quarters. Adeleke trained at Chelsea’s Cobham training ground and also spent time with Strasbourg.
His performances for Nigeria have only strengthened his reputation.
At the WAFU B U-20 Championship, Adeleke scored twice against Ghana before adding another brace against Togo, taking his tally to four goals in his first two matches of the tournament.
