Greek giants PAOK have opened direct negotiations to sign Ghana midfielder Kwasi Sibo, with a deal expected to be concluded before the end of the week, Footy-Africa can exclusively reveal.
Footy-Africa.com was the first to report PAOK’s interest in the Black Stars midfielder, and discussions have now progressed, with the Thessaloniki-based club presenting the 28-year-old with a two-year contract offer.
Sibo is now weighing up his options, with several clubs also interested in signing him following the expiration of his contract with Spanish side Real Oviedo.
The Ghana international is available as a free agent after failing to reach an agreement with Oviedo over a new deal, making him one of the most sought-after midfielders on the market this summer.
PAOK are keen to strengthen their midfield ahead of the new campaign and view Sibo as a player capable of adding experience, defensive stability and composure in possession. The prospect of playing UEFA Europa League football is also a major part of the club’s proposal.

While negotiations between PAOK and the player’s representatives are ongoing, no final decision has been made, with Sibo carefully considering all offers before deciding on the next step in his career.
The former Watford youth player enjoyed another impressive campaign in Spain and has continued to attract interest from clubs across Europe and the Middle East.
PAOK remain optimistic of securing his signature, but with competing proposals on the table, the race for the Ghanaian midfielder remains open despite the Greek club’s strong push to complete a deal before the end of the week.
