Nigerian midfielder Raphael Onyedika could be set for an early exit from Club Brugge in the January transfer window, amid growing uncertainty about his future at the club.

The 24-year-old first moved to Europe in 2022, when he joined Danish outfit Midtyjlland. He spent a season on loan away from the club, before moving to Club Brugge in 2022, where he has sealed a spot as a regular in the team and helped to triumphs in the Belgian league and cup.

The Super Eagles previously expressed desire to leave and looked set for a departure in the summer, with interest from several clubs across major European Leagues. However, the Blue-Black refused to sanction a transfer after no concrete offer was received.

With only a few months until the winter transfer window, Onyedika could eventually get his wish in January and leave the former Belgian champions. Here are five clubs the midfielder could move to in January;

West Ham United (England)

English Premier League side West Ham United are expected to renew their pursuit of Raphael Onyedika in the January transfer window.

The Hammers have struggled in the English league this season and could turn to the Super Eagles star to add stability to the midfield.

Galatasaray (Turkey)

Another potential destination for Raphael Onyedika is Galatasaray in the Turkish Super League, where he could be reunited with Nigerian teammate Victor Osimhen. The midfielder agreed personal terms with the Turkish champions in the summer, but the move fell through due to differences in both clubs’ valuation.

However, after missing out on Yves Bissouma in the summer, Galatasaray could be back for a swoop for the Super Eagles star in January, as they navigate their title defence and European aspirations.

Eintracht Frankfurt (Germany)

Bundesliga outfit Eintracht Frankfurt seems the most ideal destination for Raphael Onyedika, who has previously expressed interest in moving to Germany.

The Nigerian midfielder would be a valuable addition to Die Adler, who are challenging for an European finish at the end of the campaign.

AS Monaco (France)

French team AS Monaco could also offer a potential escape route for Nigerian international Raphael Onyedika as he seeks an exit from Club Brugge.

The Super Eagles midfielder could also want to follow the footsteps of other Nigerians to have played in the French league, which could serve as a stepping stone to another top league.

Real Betis (Spain)

Rapahel Onyedika could also seal a move to 2025 UEFA Conference League finalists Real Betis in the January transfer window.

The 24-year-old is well experienced in Europe and will be helpful in Real Betis’ hunt for the Europa League this season.
